For us, this compact all-in-one kit for measuring blood glucose was an opportunity for iconic design, which implements a unique business model, while minimizing R&D efforts and maximizing the user experience. Dario renders obsolete those big, bulky diabetes kits, with this true platform solution small enough to fit in a purse. Read More The studio team ventured into a design process characterization and strategic approach, artist concept, usability studies, morphologies, mechanics, detailing, resizing, and shifting collaborations with both local and foreign engineering companies. Special mechanics were developed to support the desired design features, including the removable strip cartridge, built-in lancing device, and strip reader dongle tucked into the side that snaps into place when not in use.
